<idAbs>The data is a visual representation of the roads in the 2019-2023 Highway Maintenance Improvement Program (HMIP) as approved by the Board of Transportation.
G.S. 136-44.3A requires the NC DOT to submit a five year maintenance plan covering the preservation, resurfacing, and rehabilitation plans of the divisions. Each division will have a schedule for each county for each year of the plan that includes the location, selected treatment, and estimated cost. The plan is to be based on the previous fiscal year’s Contract Resurfacing and Pavement Preservation allocations. G.S. 143B-350(f) requires the plan be posted to the Department's website by April 1st of each year. The 2019-2023 HMIP was approved by the Board of Transportation at their March 8, 2018 meeting.

Route Name – The route to be treated
Begin Description – The physical description of the begin limit of where the treatment is to be applied
End Description - The physical description of the end limit of where the treatment is to be applied
Length – The length in miles of the treatment
Budget Group – The budget group of the type of treatment. Must be Resurfacing, Preservation, or Rehabilitation
Treatment – The treatment to be applied
