Service Description: This data set contains the freshwater surface water classifications for all named streams in North Carolina. This data was first uploaded on March 6, 2015 and originally pulled from BIMS in November 2014. To learn more about what classifications are, see the Classifications and Standards/Rule Review Branch website.Supplemental classification intended to protect freshwaters which have conditions which shall sustain and allow for trout propagation and survival of stocked trout on a year-round basis. This classification is not the same as the NC Wildlife Resources Commission's Designated Public Mountain Trout Waters designation.
