Layer: Stormwater Controls (ID: 0)

Name: Stormwater Controls

Display Field: CountyName

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPoint

Description: This layer contains the locations of stormwater controls in North Carolina. Stormwater controls are efforts to separate pollutants from stormwater in order to prevent the pollutants from entering streams. The stormwater controls data used to create this GIS feature class is stored in NCDOT’s Stormwater Control Management System (SCMS) database, which is hosted by NCDOT’s Information Technology unit. The data was last updated November 8, 2012. To convert the data to a GIS feature class, the following process was used: 1. The CSV file containing the stormwater controls data was converted to an event theme. 2. The event theme was converted to a file geodatabase feature class. 3. The state plane coordinates for the features were incorporated into the feature class.
